Cause: Increased Rail Shipments, New Production Plants
More ethanol shipments and new ethanol plants going on line led to an increase of non-accidental releases (NARs) reported (when?) in 2008, said NAR task force member Kevin Cook. The task force--appointed by the Bureau of Explosives (BOE) and the Association of American Railroads (AAR)-rcported that ethanol NARs rose ftom 67 in 2007 to 104 in 2008. Read More
